I am a BACP-registered counsellor offering integrative counselling in Bath and online.
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling from the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (level 6 diploma). This is a BACP and UKCP dual-accredited training provider.
I abide by the ethical codes of BACP. My work is overseen by a qualified and registered supervisor. I'm fully insured.
I regularly undertake further CPD, including:
Introduction to Internal Family System (IFS), understanding neurodiversity, Trauma Treatment Certification Workshop.
I'm currently studying to become an EMDR Certified Practitioner. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an integrative therapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven for the treatment of trauma.
I have a Master's degree in Psychology.
I've had the privilege of working with a wide range of people as a long-term counsellor at Cotswold Counselling in Cirencester and at Bath Spa University with students offering short-term therapy. I set up my private practice in May 2023 and I have been seeing private clients since. I'm also a registered supplier with the Salvation Army.
My work in the therapy room is influenced by my personal experiences of long therapy (which was an integrative part of my studies) and - most importantly - by the transformative effect of being deeply understood and heard by the people I met in my counselling training. They have made a profound difference in my life and have inspired me to do the same. 'Vulnerability begets vulnerability; courage is contagious' (Brené Brown)
